Loyola Chicago is looking to be that rare mid-major to earn a trip to the Final Four. With a win Saturday against Kansas State, the team would make that come to fruition.
And it started out swimmingly for the darlings of the 2018 NCAA Tournament with Ben Richardson hitting two early threes to give the Ramblers a double-digit lead five minutes into the game.
Obviously, those who don’t have a rooting interest in a specific team remaining in the tourney are rooting hard for Sister Jean’s squad. Here’s the best reactions from Loyola’s blazing hot start in the Elite Eight Saturday.
How much would a Final Four run be worth to Loyola-Chicago in publicity? 12 years ago, a George Mason professor concluded his school’s run to the Final Four was worth $677 MILLION in free advertising.

Loyola's offensive execution, passing, spacing and diversity of scorers is once again slicing up an opponent. Making 65 percent of its shots is also a pretty good sign things are working well.

Loyola is the only team on Earth that could beat both the Warriors and Rockets in a 7-game series.

I love the Loyola story but can we take a moment to say “holy underseeded?”

K-State's last four halves it's given up 29, 29, 20, and 23 points. Loyola has 25 with 8 minutes left before halftime.

Me: "There's no way Loyola can pull off another insanely long, efficient stretch of offense."
Loyola: "Hold this beer, and then pass it to the open man."

Are you a player without the size or athleticism to play ‘above the rim’?
Watch Loyola Chicago
Take notes
Watch Loyola Chicago again
Take more notes
Watch Loyola Chicago some more
Take a few more notes
Go to the gym and practice what you saw… over and over and over…

Loyola shot 75% in the 2nd half last game and has started 8/10 today. Crazy execution/shotmaking
