Cloud9 add Boombl4 to CS2 roster

Brookdale Community College has built an esports arena where students and the community can practice video gaming. It's the latest step in joining a rapidly growing industry. As part of it, the college also has introduced its first varsity esports team featuring 19 players for three different games.

Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov is no longer a stand-in for the Cloud9 Counter-Strike 2 team. He is now an official member of the lineup.

Boombl4 has been competing with the club during its Thunderpick World Championship matches. The 24-year-old Russian has taken the place of countryman Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov, who was benched.

Boombl4, previously competed in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with 1win since Feb. 15. He also was a part of Winstrike Team and Natus Vincere.

The Cloud9 roster consists of Kazakhstan’s Abay “HObbit” Khassenov and Russians Denis “electroNic” Sharipov, Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy, Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov and Boombl4.

Konstantin “groove” Pikiner of Russia is the team’s coach.
