The Los Angeles Clippers closed out the unofficial first half of their schedule against the Celtics in Boston Thursday evening. More than anything, Los Angeles wanted to make sure it headed into the All-Star Break at full strength.
That’s not going to be case. Star forward Paul George suffered a strained hamstring in the second quarter of said game and will not return to action.
George will likely get an MRI some time late Thursday night or early Friday. For now, it’s not great news for the All-Star forward and his team.
A blockbuster acquisition during the summer, George has already missed 21 games due to a variety of injuries this season. The hope here is that this one is not a long-term injury that will impact Los Angeles coming out of the break.
