Most teams around the NFL have seen their seasons come to an end. The Denver Broncos joined that group after an AFC Divisional Playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts. While most fans were in disbelief, Broncos cornerback Chris Harris had a few telling words to say about the season.
I feel like the season was a waste of time, like we wasted all of our hard work, Harris told the Denver Post.
Peyton Manning may have played with a torn quad for the final month of the season, but that didn’t impact Denver’s defense dropping the ball when it counted the most.
We don’t know if this will be Manning’s last season or not, however, Harris didn’t seem to care.
We have to figure out what the plan is going to be next year and try to move on. It’s tough. They beat us in all phases of the game.
Harris is rated as one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL and just recently signed an extension. Regardless of whether Manning returns and who the next head coach is, he will be back in Denver next season.
