Report: Pro Bowler Chris Harris gets big raise from Broncos

After an offseason of being at odds with each other, the Denver Broncos and cornerback Chris Harris Jr. have reportedly agreed on a new deal.

It was reported on Tuesday that the two sides agreed to a deal. As a result, Harris will receive a raise of more than $3 million for the 2019 season.

Earlier on Tuesday, it was said that a deal was close. But while the more immediate news suggested that this would happen, that hasn’t always been the case.

As recently as late-April, it seemed likely that Harris would be traded. Obviously, the two sides worked through whatever differences lingered.

Harris is still set to be a free agent after the 2019 season.

He has been an integral part of Denver’s defense for a while. Harris has made four Pro Bowls, including last season. In 2018, he recorded three interceptions, one of them was returned for a touchdown.
