Chris Culliver’s Case Delayed Until July

San Francisco 49ers starting cornerback Chris Culliver will not face trial for felony weapons and misdemeanor hit-and-run charges until next month at the earliest.

According to Niners Nation of the SB Nation network, Culliver’s case has been continued until July 10. This means that any potential discipline from the league might have to wait until training camp, which could be somewhat of a big deal for the 49ers, especially if Culliver is indeed suspended.

On the other hand, depending on how long the case plays out, Culliver might not face a suspension until after the 2014 season. That’s likely his best-case scenario at this point.

If you remember correctly, Culliver was arrested earlier in the offseason for running over a pedestrian, leaving the scene of the crime and then possession of brass knuckles.
