The Miami Heat shared some real unfortunate news on Saturday. The team announced that All-Star Chris Bosh will miss the remainder of the year while undergoing treatment for blood clots on his lung.
This is a major blow for the team on the court, but the larger concern has to be Bosh’s long-term health. In this, the Heat indicated that his prognosis is good.
Here’s a statement from the organization.
The Miami HEAT announced today that Chris Bosh will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 Season, while being treated for blood clots on his lung.
Bosh, who is receiving care under the guidance of Miami HEAT team physicians at a Baptist Health System Hospital, is currently resting comfortably. Chris is OK and his prognosis is good.
Something as serious as this shouldn’t really involve a basketball analysis. We already know how important the two-time NBA champion is to his team.
It’s now all about Bosh himself getting healthy off the court and successfully recovering from this life-altering event.
Our best wishes go out to Bosh, his family and the entire Heat organization.
