Chiefs and RB Damien Williams agree to two-year extension

The Kansas City Chiefs have evidently liked what they’ve seen from running back Damien Williams since Kareem Hunt was released.

On Thursday, it was announced that Kansas City signed Williams to a two-year extension.

The Chiefs have slumped somewhat since Hunt’s release, going 2-2. But, while he hasn’t matched Hunt’s production, that can hardly be blamed on Williams.

In those four games, Williams has 204 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He’s also averaged better than 5.6 yards a carry. He’s added 19 receptions for 134 yards with two more scores.

Williams has been a reliable target for Patrick Mahomes, as well, catching all but one pass thrown his way.
