Chargers Pro Bowler Joey Bosa forced from practice with foot injury

Through the first couple weeks of training camp, the Los Angeles Chargers have been an injury-plagued mess. That includes former Pro Bowl cornerback Jason Verrett suffering a torn Achilles on the first day of the summer session.

While not jumping to conclusions, this latest piece of information from Chargers camp is not good. Pro Bowl defensive end Joey Bosa exited practice on Tuesday after suffering an undisclosed foot injury. He’s set to be evaluated by doctors at the team’s hotel later in the day.

Any long-term injury to Bosa would be near disastrous news for the up-and-coming Chargers. The No. 3 overall pick back in 2016, Bosa has recorded 23 sacks and four forced fumbles in two seasons. Along with Melvin Ingram, he helps form one of the most fearsome pass-rush duos in the NFL.

We’ll certainly have further information about this injury once it becomes available. For now, the Chargers are holding their breath in a big way.
