Former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco signed with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League on Thursday. The 36-year-old wide receiver hasn’t seen NFL action since he suited up with the New England Patriots back in 2011.

Ochocino, previously known by Chad Johnson, ranks first on the Cincinnati Bengals all-time list for receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. In fact, his 751 catches as a member of the Bengals is 221 more than the second-closest receiver on the all-time list, Carl Pickens.
The interesting on and off-field character will now be taking his talents up north after failing to catch on with a NFL team over the last few offseasons. What might be considered embarrassing to some that he has to resort to the CFL, can be seen as an inspiration us optimists out there. Why not continue chasing your passion, even at 36?
On completely different note, let’s check in on some of Ochocinco’s accomplishments and antics during his 11-year NFL career.
Six Pro Bowl appearances
First in Bengals history in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns
Seven 1,000-yard seasons
Four seasons of nine touchdown receptions or more.
Four seasons with 1,300-plus receiving yards.
And some memorable highlights…(warning some NSFW language)
In all seriousness, we wish Ochocinco all the best in Montreal.
