Boston Celtics centers Al Horford and Robert Williams III will miss Wednesday night’s game against the visiting Philadelphia 76ers.
Horford is dealing with swelling in his right knee, while Williams is nursing a left ankle sprain. Grant Williams, Blake Griffin and Luke Kornet are expected to see increased roles in the frontcourt with Horford and Robert Williams out.
Horford, 36, is averaging 9.1 points and 6.1 rebounds while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from 3-point range in 43 starts this season.
Robert Williams, 25, has averages of 8.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks while shooting 77.2 percent from the floor in 20 games (11 starts) this season.
The Celtics will also be without reigning Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart, who will miss his eighth straight game with a right ankle sprain.
