Cavaliers send untimely tweet ahead of Jordan Clarkson trade

Jordan Clarkson trade

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday sent guard Jordan Clarkson to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Dante Exum and two second-round picks.

The move frees up cap room for Cleveland over the long haul and adds two more picks to their bounty of selections as the team rebuilds.

This trade itself wasn’t bad. Rather, it was all about the timing. Mere minutes before it was reported, Cleveland sent a Twitter post hyping its game against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday. Said post included a photo of Clarkson.

This obviously didn’t play too well on Twitter. Some of the reactions were amazing.
