Carmelo Anthony shades Paul George after win over the Pacers

Carmelo Anthony

The Oklahoma City Thunder took out Paul George’s former Indiana Pacers squad by the score of 114-96 on Wednesday in OKC.

It’s a game that saw both Russell Westbrook and the recently acquired Carmelo Anthony each put up 28 points. For his part, Westbrook added a triple-double to the mix.

Though, in his first game against his former Pacers squad, George was nowhere to be found. And Anthony let him know just that following the game.

“Tonight was just a great win for us. I’m glad we went and got this one for PG, even though he was a no-show today, he fouled out,” Anthony said, via ESPN.

Obviously, Anthony was just having some fun at the expense of his teammate. George had 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting in 19 minutes prior to fouling out.

It was a clear case of him being a little too pumped up playing his old team. But the irony of his performance was most definitely not lost on Anthony.

Jokes are fun.
