Brooklyn Nets guard Caris LeVert suffered a gruesome injury on Monday night that appeared to be as bad anything we’ve seen in the NBA.

Thankfully, on Tuesday he got some good news, which is that the injury wasn’t quite as bad as it appeared. He won’t need surgery to repair his dislocated right foot and is expected to return later this season.

On Tuesday evening, the 24-year-old took to his Twitter account to thank God, and his fans, while expressing his gratitude that it’s not as bad as it could have been. He also shared his excitement to return to action, whenever that occurs.

Before being injured on Monday night, LeVert was having a phenomenal season for the Nets. He averaged 18.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game, appearing in 14 games.
