Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd is in trouble with the law after he was found asleep at the wheel early Monday morning and charged with DUI.
“The Scottsdale Police Department said Floyd was found unconscious at the wheel of his car near Scottsdale Road and Goldwater Boulevard at 2:48 a.m. Monday morning,” reports ArizonaSports.com. “The car was running. Floyd was charged with two counts of DUI and one count of obstructing a roadway and failure to obey a police officer.”
Unfortunately this is not the first time Floyd has been arrested on DUI charges. He was suspended from the Notre Dame football team back in 2011 after being found to have more than double the legal limit of alcohol in his system while driving his vehicle.
A first-round draft pick (No. 13 overall) in 2012 for the Cardinals, Floyd has not really lived up to expectations on the field. He has caught just 33 passes for 446 yards and four touchdowns this year. It would not be surprising whatsoever if Floyd does not return to Arizona next year, as he’s in the final year of his rookie contract.
