Carson Palmer needs surgery on broken arm, could miss up to eight weeks

With his team down 13-0 to the Los Angeles Rams in London on Sunday, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer had to leave the game with an injury to his left arm.

After the game, Bruce Arians told reporters Palmer needs surgery for a broken arm and will be out up to eight weeks.

At 3-3 on the season, Arizona was pretty much in a must-win situation against the first-place Rams when Palmer exited. The Cardinals ended up losing in blowout fashion, 33-0. Now below .500 heading into the final weekend of October, it’s hard to imagine this team making a run at the playoffs.

Prior to leaving the game, Palmer had completed 10-of-18 passes for 122 yards and an interception.
