Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton took to social media on Wednesday to remind everyone that he still exists.
Newton is dealing with a foot injury that cost him Carolina’s Week 3 game. In his stead, second-year quarterback Kyle Allen put up a brilliant four-touchdown performance in a 38-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Newton’s post explicitly notes that he’s going to do everything possible to support Allen from the sideline. Though, the former NFL MVP also made sure to note that he’s still here.
Recent reports suggest that Newton is dealing with a Lisfranc injury. Head coach Ron Rivera has not ruled out surgery.
At 1-2 on the season, Carolina will be relying on Allen to continue what we saw last week. As it relates to Mr. Newton, there’s no timeline for his return.
