It was rather clear during last week’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was nowhere near 100 percent.
Newton tossed four interceptions in the humiliating loss en route to seeing Carolina drop to 6-6 on the season.
Now comes this bit of information from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport noting that Newton is dealing with a shoulder injury that could impact him for the remainder of the season.

On the outside looking in when it comes to the NFC Playoff race, Carolina must stem the tide this week against what promises to be a tough Cleveland Browns team on the road. If Newton is not 100 percent, it’s going to impact the Panthers’ ability to succeed throughout the final quarter of the season.
