Cam Jordan uses Kirk Cousins’ name as a verb while describing ‘slow decision-makers’

Every year a group of pass rushers collect for Von Miller’s pass rush summit, sharing tips and tricks with each other. This year, New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan was providing his knowledge with his peers, but he couldn’t help but drag Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins into the conversation too. Let’s just say the comments weren’t positive.

Jordan was speaking to his fellow athletes about playing fast, making quick decisions on the fly. During this time, he roped in how QBs typically operate and that’s when Cousins’ name was inserted as a verb into the conversation.

“A fast, right decision, you’re a winner. And a slow, right decision, get your ass on the bench. Slow, right decisions, we love them. We call them, ‘Kirk Cousins‘.”

What Jordan is advising is for players to just play fast, because sometimes just making your presence known can cause a mistake, whereas second-guessing yourself, thus playing slower, could lead to even bigger problems.

Jordan has faced off against Cousins on five separate occasions. The Saints have won three times, and Cousins has won twice. In those matchups, Jordan has managed to sack Cousins 2.5 times, and the QB has thrown 13 TD and 2 INT.

Cousins will get a chance at revenge in Week 10, when the Saints visit U.S. Bank Stadium on November 12. We’ll see if he makes a few more “slow, right decisions”, but it sounds like Jordan is counting on it.
