Thanks to the Cal football team, one of the most bizarre and greatest plays in college football history will soon be immortalized in bobblehead form.
That’s just fantastic. In all likelihood, we’ve all seen “The Play” now. Behind five laterals, the Golden Bears weaved their way through the Stanford defense (and band) to score the game-winning touchdown as time expired.
Joe Starkey’s famous call and the image of Cal’s Kevin Moen crashing into Stanford trombone player Gary Tyrrell have stood the test of time.
This is not only a tribute to a great play, but also fantastic troll job by Cal against its rival.
