C.J. Spiller has some lofty goals for the 2015 season on his new team.

The arrival of coach Rex Ryan to the Buffalo Bills has already sparked excitement in Western New York. And from the sounds of it, running rack C.J. Spiller can’t wait to begin working with his new coach (via NFL.com).

It strikes me well. That’s what I love to do is run the football. And Rex, that is what he’s known for, running the football, being physical, playing that hard-nosed football. I’m excited about it. This is a great opportunity for us to get this thing turned around. We ended this season on a 9-7 record, now it’s just time to build on that and get into the playoffs.

The Bills possessed the No. 4 ranked defense last year and perhaps they’ll boost their offensive ranking with a stronger run game in 2015. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Ryan is planning to bring Greg Roman, the former San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator, on board. Roman excelled in a successful run program back when he worked with Alex Smith and then with Colin Kaepernick.

With questions certainly needing answers when it comes to the Bills’ quarterback position for the upcoming season, ramping up their run game definitely is a step in the right direction.
