D’Angelo Russell violated the bro code in the worst possible way when he let a video leak of teammate Nick Young confessing he had a relationship with a woman not named Iggy Azalea. Head coach Byron Scott, speaking briefly with media Wednesday after the scandal broke, wasn’t happy with his young guard.

“The only thing I’m disappointed about is it got out,” Scott said, via Mark Medina of insidesocal.com. “We’re a family and we try to keep everything in house. That’s the only thing I’m disappointed.

“It’s an internal problem and we’ll handle it in house. If you want to ask me about the Miami game we’re playing tonight, you can ask me. If not, this interview is basically over.”

Clearly, much like Doc Rivers and the Clippers were irritated about having to deal with Blake Griffin’s hand injury earlier this year, Scott and the Lakers wish they could throw this story into the deepest part of the sea.

But it’s not going away any time soon.

Russell himself refused to speak with reporters after practice, but the Lakers said both Young and Russell will be available for media before tonight’s game against the Miami Heat, per Medina.

Another very interesting note is that Russell left team facilities after practice with three security guards.

What’s up with that?

Things are going sideways in a hurry for this young man, who has been criticized by many throughout the season for immaturity. Of course, one might wonder what else to expect from a 19-year-old kid who makes millions and is playing in the second-largest sports market in the United States.
