Bud Light offers beer to Philadelphia should Eagles win Super Bowl

The Philadelphia Eagles have not been in the playoffs since 2013 or in a Super Bowl since 2004. It has been a dry spell that offensive tackle Lane Johnson is willing to water down with some fresh cold beer should the Eagles win a Super Bowl.

“I have a lot to prove to this city,” Johnson said, per Andrew Kulp of CSN Philly. “I think if we have a few big years and make the playoffs if we win a Super Bowl, I’m giving out beer to everybody.”

Well, apparently Bud Light caught wind of Johnson’s comment and offered to take care of the beer on its own.

What turned out to be a generous offer from Bud Light, obviously unleashed the trolls.

So, we get the idea. At least Johnson has hope and faith in his team. The 27-year-old offensive lineman seems extremely pumped to start the new season after serving a 10 game suspension in 2016 for violating the league’s PED policy.

Some might say it is interesting Lane is talking alcohol at his press conference. For now he is just focusing on opening the season on the right foot.

“We just have to worry about Week 1 and focus on that right now.”

Indeed.

The Eagles open up the regular season on the road in a divisional showdown with the Washington Redskins.
