Bucks’ Jabari Parker frustrated with lack of playing time, blasts head coach

Frustrations seem to be boiling over in Milwaukee after the Bucks dropped the first two games of their first-round series against the Boston Celtics. With no real hope of making this a competitive series heading back to Milwaukee, it seems that things are not getting any better.

That includes former No. 2 overall pick Jabari Parker, who is in no way happy about his lack of playing time. In fact, Parker took to the media to blast interim head coach Joe Prunty.

Coming off a torn ACL that cost him over half the regular season, Parker played less than 25 combined minutes in the first two games of the series — recording a grand total of two points on 1-of-7 shooting. Not coincidentally, the Bucks are minus-29 with him on the court and plus-nine when the former lottery pick is riding the pine.

Obviously, there’s some method to Prunty’s madness here. It’s clear that the Bucks are nowhere near as effective with Parker on the court. Pretty much a one-dimensional player, he needs to actually be scoring to make an impact.

Game 3 between the Bucks and Celtics is slated for Friday. It will be interesting to see what type of lineup changes Prunty has in store. Though, that’s unlikely to include Parker seeing more minutes.
