Trade speculation continues to swirl around star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. following his latest off-the-field issue. However, the Browns reportedly have no plans to trade Beckham Jr. and want to keep him with the team next season.

According to The Athletic’s Jay Glazer, the Browns intend to keep Beckham Jr. this offseason and bring him back for the 2020 season under new head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Cleveland’s new head coach told reporters on Thursday that he will have a “face to face: talk with the 27-year-old receiver this offseason.

Beckham Jr. found himself in hot water following LSU’s national championship when he handed out money to players then slapped an officer on the butt in LSU’s locker room. The former Pro Bowl receiver also went after former head coach Freddie Kitchens on the sideline during the season.

He also played through a painful sports hernia injury, which he underwent surgery on during the offseason. Despite all of the issues and underwhelming production in 2019, Stefanski and the Browns seem ready to put the past behind them and make things worse.

If things change or the relationship with Beckham Jr. isn’t sustainable, the Browns could still net a sizable return by trading him this offseason.
