This is sure to go over well. Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens was seen out in public wearing a shirt that said “Pittsburgh started it.”
ESPN reports a Cleveland spokesperson told Adam Schefter the shirt was gifted to Kitchens by his daughter “as a joke” and that he wore it to the movies.
The shirt is obviously referring to the brawl that transpired between the Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers a couple weeks ago. Mason Rudolph had his helmet ripped off by Myles Garrett, who hit the quarterback over the head with said helmet.
In the end, Garrett was suspended indefinitely, two others players received suspensions, and more than $730,000 in fines were doled out to players from both teams.
For what it’s worth, Kitchens has made it clear from the beginning that he feels Rudolph deserved more blame than he got for his part in the fight.
