The Denver Broncos obviously want to move Mark Sanchez’s contract. The Dallas Cowboys have a need at quarterback following the Tony Romo injury news.
So it would make sense that a trade might be able to be worked out here.
Interestingly enough, it’s the Broncos who reportedly reached out to Dallas regarding a potential Sanchez trade.
Denver has contacted Dallas about a trade for Mark Sanchez. The Cowboys are not interested in a trade if it involves his current salary.

As NFL Media’s Jane Slater reported, the Cowboys are not interested in acquiring Sanchez at his current price tag.
Now considered Denver’s third-string quarterback, the struggling veteran is slated to earn $4.5 million this season. Based off what we’ve seen from him during the summer, that’s a pretty high price tag.
Dallas is also pretty impressed by rookie fourth-round pick Dak Prescott, who is slated to start in Romo’s stead to start the season. Though, the team is also said to be interested in a veteran backup.
Should Sanchez agree to lower his 2016 salary, this might be a possible outcome for the quarterback quagmires both sides are facing. If not, it’s back to the drawing board.
What we do know is that Denver will not retain Sanchez at his current price tag. If this report is true, the Cowboys also aren’t interested in eating his $4.5 million salary either.
