Brian Orakpo isn’t happy with former Washington Redskins teammate Chris Cooley, who made headlines on Tuesday when he said Robert Griffin III wasn’t well liked and that he never wanted to be friends with Kirk Cousins.

Cooley, who is now in media after spending almost a decade in the NFL, all with Washington, appeared on the radio Tuesday to speak with DC Sports Bog’s Dan Steinberg. While on the show, he made several derogatory statements about RG3, including this:

“Robert was never willing to be friends with Kirk Cousins,” Cooley said, via DC Sports Bog. “They never hung out together, they never spent time together, their families didn’t hang out together. … It was never a great relationship. I don’t think Robert ever wanted it to be a great relationship.”

Cooley also said many other players on the offense didn’t like Griffin III.

Seemingly in response to those comments, Orakpo, who was a teammate of Cooley’s from 2009-12, issued a heated response from his Twitter account: “Get this BUM Chris Cooley off the radio and tv please… don’t worry still got property in VA when I see him Ima smack the s*** out of him.”

Orakpo obviously didn’t take kindly to Cooley’s comments. Also, his response would seem to indicate he agrees with the general message coming out of Washington this offseason regarding RG3, which is that he was a model teammate and handled his demotion with nothing but class this past year.

Furthermore, Terrance Knighton and Niles Paul, both of whom played for the Redskins and Griffin III, echoed Orakpo’s sentiments on Twitter shortly after he made his statement.
