The Green Bay Packers shocked everyone when they drafted Jordan Love, trading up to do it. The move was eerily similar to what happened when the franchise selected Aaron Rodgers when Brett Favre was still in his heyday.

Since then, Favre has chatted with Rodgers.

Brett Favre: Aaron Rodgers was ‘surprised’ by Packers drafting Love

After speaking with Rodgers about the Packers’ stunning decision to draft Love, Favre was a guest on the “Rich Eisen Show.”

While he would not get into “all that we talked” about, Favre did say that Rodgers was, “let’s just say surprised” about the pick. Favre also said that Rodgers “has every right to be disappointed, if he is.”

Since the Packers’ selection of Love, there have been numerous rumors indicating that Rodgers could be traded. Other reports indicate the Packers were sending a direct message to Rodgers with the pick.

To that point, Favre says he thinks Rodgers will finish his career outside of Green Bay.

So far, Rodgers has not directly responded to any of this. However, Love himself said he spoke with the veteran, who congratulated him on being picked up by Green Bay.
