Braves reportedly emerge as favorites to land Dallas Keuchel

Boasting one of the better young rotations in baseball, the Atlanta Braves could soon add a veteran reinforcement.

According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, Atlanta has emerged as favorites to land former Cy Young winner Dallas Keuchel.

‏A member of the Houston Astros over the past six seasons, the 31-year-old Keuchel has been holding out for a larger contract than what he was offered during the winter.

He pitched to a 12-11 record with a 3.74 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in 34 starts last season.

Given the success that Mike Soroka, Max Fried and Julio Teheran have had this season, Atlanta’s interest in Keuchel is somewhat surprising.

Then again, Kevin Gausman (6.15 ERA) and Mike Foltynewicz (6.10 ERA) have struggled big time on the campaign. Keuchel would certainly solidify this rotation.
