Brandon Weeden bashes Twitter haters: ‘I don’t need a 12 year old telling me how to play quarterback’

Twitter is the prime social media outlet for ranting and raving, as folks love to do, especially when it comes to trashing sports personalities who are struggling.

Fed up to his eyeballs with Twitter haters, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Brandon Weeden reportedly has all but abandoned his account since he joined the NFL in 2012 as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

“I was pretty interactive in college,” Weeden said, per the Boston Herald. “I remember everybody that always talked crap, they never had a picture of themselves. It was some cartoon or something, and it was always probably a 12-year-old kid that damn sure never played quarterback, and damn sure never played quarterback in the NFL. I don’t need that kid telling me, ‘What the hell you thinking throwing to this guy?’ I don’t need that.”

Weeden further vented:

“I’m 32 years old. I don’t need a 12-year-old telling me how to play quarterback.”

Weeden admits he still has a Twitter account, however he has only tweeted a handful of times in the past two years. The Twitter-verse is of course fired up in full with Weeden hate tweets now since he has lost the both of the Cowboys last two games for which he has started. It’s no wonder Weeden is irritated when he’s the subject of tweets such like this one:

Unfortunately, as long as Weeden keeps losing, the trashy tweets will keep flowing. The forecast for nicey-nice tweets doesn’t look promising in Week 5 when the Cowboys host the red-hot, undefeated New England Patriots on Sunday.

Weeden’s best shot is to either ignore Twitter altogether, or just to keep his fans entertained by posting more stuff like this.
