Brandon Marshall to Dez Bryant: ‘Sorry baby bro no room’ on Giants

It’s no secret that Dez Bryant would love to join the New York Giants and take on his old team, the Dallas Cowboys, twice a year. He’s feeling particularly salty ever since the ‘Boys dropped him without even asking him to take a pay cut, and he’s made no bones about wanting revenge.

Well, Bryant’s desire to join an NFC East team hasn’t been met by those teams with much enthusiasm. Now, one of the players from New York’s squad, Brandon Marshall, has made it clear he doesn’t think it’s going to work out.

One of the more interesting twists here is that, theoretically, the Giants could be inclined to move on from Marshall. He’s due to count $6.15 million against the cap, and the Giants could save over $5 million by cutting him. That money, theoretically, could then be used to sign Bryant, if that’s something the Giants were interested in doing.

That said, even though it seemed like the Giants would at least consider releasing Marshall, who was a lost cause last year before suffering a season-ending injury, there’s been nothing going on this spring to suggest it will happen.
