Newly crowned undisputed super middleweight champion Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) might be placing the finishing touches on his historic career, and it could include three more fights.

Crawford put on an absolute boxing clinic, as he defeated Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez for the 168-pound WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles by unanimous decision on Sept. 13. He became the first male three-division undisputed champion in the four-belt era.

“Bud” previously captured the undisputed championship at junior welterweight in 2017 and at welterweight in 2023. Thousands of fans showed up to support Crawford during a victory parade in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, on Saturday. However, Crawford’s trainer, Brian “BoMac” McIntyre, revealed that his fighter may have only a few more fights left.

“You know what? He made it look so easy,” McIntyre told Fight Hub TV. “Got two or three more in him, and s**t. You know what I’m saying? Training camp, we’re training harder.”

Is a move down to 160 next for Crawford?

Following the biggest win of his career, the five-division champion is enjoying time off before planning a return to the ring. Crawford previously stated that he could consider a move down to middleweight.

“BoMac” echoed that same sentiment, saying he “wouldn’t mind” if Crawford was looking to challenge himself. A move down to 160 pounds would give Crawford a shot to capture a world title in a sixth weight class. Only two other fighters have accomplished the feat: Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao.

Furthermore, the thought of becoming a four-division undisputed champion would definitely be intriguing. Crawford recently overtook the No. 1 spot on ESPN’s men’s pound-for-pound rankings. His name is sure to go down among the Greatest Of All Time.

“When you say, ‘name the best fighters in the history of boxing,’” said McIntyre. “You’re going to have to say Ray Robinson. You’re going to have to say Jack Dempsey. Then you gotta say Terence Crawford. He’s definitely up there.”
