After earning his 12th career pole position on the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, Bobby Zalenski stormed to his 12th victory, cruising to the win at a virtual Richmond (Va.) Raceway on Tuesday.

Zalenski now shares fifth place with Keegan Leahy on the series’ all-time wins list.

“Obviously, the car was a rocket,” said Zalenski, a Fresno, Calif., resident. “I’ve got to thank everybody on my team for all that hard work. I put in a lot of work this week, so I had pretty high expectations. I didn’t want to get ahead of myself. … I’m glad we were able to seal the deal today.”

Michael Conti, who earned a win at the Milwaukee Mile on Feb. 28, came in second place on Tuesday. His No. 8 Chevrolet wound up 0.905 seconds behind Zalenski’s No. 18 Toyota.

“Really good run tonight for the No. 8,” said Conti, a Charlotte, N.C., resident who is in his final season on the circuit. “Super prep throughout the last two weeks, so my big thanks to everyone who made this car what it was.

“Didn’t quite have enough for Bobby and those guys, but I think we were pretty close in pace. Whoever got out front at the end was going to sail away if they didn’t make a mistake.”

Jimmy Mullis took third place in the No. 46 Chevrolet, and Nick Ottinger came in fourth in the No. 25 Chevrolet. Leahy rounded out the top five in the No. 23 Toyota.

The series resumes action on April 11 at a virtual Autodromo Nazionale Monza, the famed road course in northern Italy. It will mark the first time that the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series will conduct an event anywhere other than North America.
