The Portland Trail Blazers’ disastrous 5-9 start to the 2019-20 campaign is not getting any better.

Fresh off a blowout loss to the Houston Rockets, Portland will be without All-Star point guard Damian Lillard for at least Tuesday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Lillard is said to be dealing with back spasms.

No matter the severity, issues with the back can linger big time. As noted in the report, Lillard has been attempting to play through the injury. He just can’t anymore.

One of the few bright spots for Portland this season, the four-time All-Star is averaging a career-high 28.6 points to go with 4.9 rebounds and 7.1 assists.

Lillard’s absence will come with Carmelo Anthony slated to make his Blazers debut after signing with the team earlier this month.
