Bill Belichick: ‘Tom vs. Time’ will be ‘interesting and entertaining’

Recently Tom Brady announced he’s doing a Facebook docuseries entitled “Tom vs. Time” that may or may not have come as a surprise to the New England Patriots and head coach Bill Belichick.

“It is unclear if Brady has even told his coach about the project,” wrote Mark Leibovich of the New York Times. The Patriots spokesman Stacey James said the team was nominally aware that a Brady documentary was in the works, and tried to be helpful in providing credentials on the few occasions Chopra sought access to home games. Beyond that, the answer of how much Brady’s bosses were informed about “Tom vs. Time” remains shrouded in some Patriot-esque mystery.”

Some wondered if this might be an instance where Brady and Bill Belichick might not see eye-to-eye, due to the secrecy behind it all.

Well, on Monday, Belichick dispelled that notion, though he did hint the news came as a surprise to him.

Really, the thought that somehow Brady doing a documentary on Facebook would in any way detract from his ability to be the quarterback of the Patriots is laughable. This is a guy who has nothing left to prove on that front for as long as he lives. He’s dealt with more distractions than most and still comes out smelling like roses.

At least now we don’t have to worry about whether Belichick is secretly seething over the whole thing.
