BetBoom advance to DreamLeague grand final

BetBoom Team swept PSG.LGD on Saturday to advance to Sunday’s best-of-five DreamLeague Season 20 grand final.

BetBoom will face the winner of Sunday’s lower-bracket final between PSG.LGD and Gaimin Gladiators.

Saturday’s action began with Gaimin Gladiators eliminating Talon Esports 2-1 in a lower-bracket semifinal. Talon opened with a 46-minute win on green, but GG answered with a 51-minute win on a green and the decisive 32-minute victory on red.

BetBoom had little trouble with PSG.LGD in the upper-bracket final, winning in 26 minutes on red and 32 minutes on green. Danil “gpk” Skutin of Russia led BetBoom with a 10.5-0.0-7.5 kills-deaths-assists ratio.

Sixteen Dota 2 teams from around the world were invited to DreamLeague Season 20 to compete for a $1 million prize pool. The winner will receive $300,000 and the runner-up will earn $175,000, with the top two finishers also qualifying for the Riyadh Masters later this year.

Group Stage 1 ran from June 11-14, with a single round-robin format and all matches best-of-two. The top four teams from each group advanced to Group Stage 2 and formed one group of eight, featuring best-of-three matches. The top four finishers from Group Stage 2 qualified for a double-elimination playoff stage.
