Ben Roethlisberger finally practiced on Friday after missing the rest of the week healing up from an elbow injury suffered in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns.

His teammates — specifically Antonio Brown an Maurkice Pouncey — say they expect him to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, per Dale Lolley of DK Pittsburgh Sports.

We’ve seen Big Ben play through some pretty nasty injuries in the past, so it’s hardly surprising that he’s intent on suiting up and gutting out any pain he’s dealing with in his throwing arm.

That being said, it’s going to be interesting to see if his injury affects the Steelers passing game, like it appeared to do last weekend against Cleveland. In that game, Roethlisberger threw three interceptions, two of which were hauled in by rookie Denzel Ward.

The Steelers will need every bit of ofensive firepower at their disposal on Sunday when they take on the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Co. were on fire last Sunday on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers and appear every bit a juggernaut this year.
