Chicago Bears receiver Eddie Royal apparently doesn’t think his team has an elite quarterback, based on a tweet he sent out on Monday night while watching Ohio State’s dynamic duo of Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett.
Shortly after tweeting out, “We really could use one of them quarterbacks Ohio State got,” Royal deleted it, obviously realizing what kind of foot-in-mouth move he’d just made.
The thing about Twitter is this: Even when you delete something juicy, you can count on the fact that someone has already taken a screenshot of that bad boy for posterity’s sake.

Chicago has Jay Cutler as its starting quarterback. Cutler has come under fire a number of times throughout his career. Brandon Marshall was the last guy to blast him (by omission), saying Kyle Orton was the best quarterback he ever played with.
And now you can add Royal to the mix of former and current teammates dissatisfied with Cutler. Of course, you can guarantee he’ll deny, deny, deny. But one doesn’t tweet something this damning without real sentiment driving the action.
