The Chicago Bears are going to be relying on second-year receiver Anthony Miller to step it up this season. He had a tremendous rookie campaign, catching 33 passes for 423 yards and seven touchdowns.

Miller is now slated to be Chicago’s starting slot receiver. Unfortunately, he might be sidelined for some time. Miller exited Bears practice on Saturday with that’s being described as a foot/ankle injury. It happened with Miller going up against Pro Bowl cornerback Kyle Fuller.

Following practice, Bears head coach Matt Nagy did not provide much of an update.

“I didn’t see it; I missed it,” Nagy said, via ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson. “I’ll have to go back and watch it. They (the medical staff) said he rolled it or something. I think he rolled it. We’ll see. He’ll be alright. I hope so at least. We’ll see how tough he is.”

Miller later tweeted out that he was good. However, the receiver has since deleted said tweet. That will lead to some speculation that the injury is more severe than the Bears might be letting on.
