The Los Angeles Dodgers found themselves down 2-1 in the top half of the sixth inning of Game 3 of the National League Division Series Sunday night.
Thanks to an absolute moonshot from Juan Soto, the Washington Nationals were looking to take a 2-1 series lead in front of their home crowd.
That’s when Game 3 starter Anibal Sanchez got into a jam and was replaced by Patrick Corbin. The end result was a seven-run inning for the Dodgers to take a huge lead in the game and find themselves in the driver’s seat for the series. All seven runs came with two outs.
It started with a two-run double by Russell Martin.
Later in the inning, Justin Turner went deep for a three-run blast to give the Dodgers an 8-2 lead.
It goes without saying that the baseball world had its reactions to the series-changing half inning.
