Barry Bonds Drops $20,000 on a Bicycle

How nice it must be to be able to drop 20 grand on a bike. No, not a motorcycle. A freaking bicycle.

That’s what former Major League Baseball slugger Barry Bonds did recently. If you don’t believe us, just check out this photo provided by Business Insider.

Among other things, this insane bike weighs only 14 pounds and features one of only 250 carbon-fiber rockets in the world.

For those of you interested in purchasing one, good luck. The S-Works McLaren Tarmac was created in collaboration with a company that specializes in Tour de France bikes.

Bonds, 50, considers himself a passionate bicyclist. And now that he has this gem, the streets of San Francisco likely won’t be much of an issue for one of the all-time greats.

We’ve certainly come a long way from Huffy bikes and baseball cards in spokes.
