AUDIO EXTRA: Full and Unedited Phil Villapiano Interview

Phil Villapiano Oakland Raiders

We promised our readers and listeners a few weeks back the full and unedited Phil Villapiano interview and here it is! We had such a great time interviewing him we’ve officially made him an honorary co-host of the Silver and Black Today on CBS Sports Radio 1140.

WARNING: Some language used in the interview might be offensive to some.

Yes, our radio show is only four weeks old. But a few weeks ago we had an interview that will be hard to top. Raiders great Phil Villapiano joined us to talk about his career, the Raiders move to Las Vegas, and why he thinks he’s not in the Hall of Fame.

Villapiano also talked about his friendship with Franco Harris despite Harris’ annual harrassment to remind him of the travesty that was the Immaculate Reception. He shares his stories on the play, the aftermath, and his return to Pittsburgh for the play’s 40th anniversary.

Perhaps one of the best parts of the interview, Villapiano discusses the two-and-a-half teams every Raiders fans must hate. We call him St. Villapiano after this as he invented a new prayer for the kids of Las Vegas to recite hating on the Kansas City Chiefs. He also tells us why the Miami Dolphins also deserve the venom of Raider Nation.

Phil also discusses his numerous charitable efforts and how much he values giving back in the community.

Enjoy the show…and the legend that is Phil Villapiano.
