Auburn trolls Alabama with funny announcement ahead of final exams

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

There was no shortage of hubbub surrounding one extra second the Auburn Tigers were gifted by the refs ahead of halftime Saturday in their epic upset over Alabama.

That one extra second gave Auburn kicker Anders Carlson the chance he needed to drill a 52-yard field goal as time expired.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban was so hot you could see the steam coming out of his ears after the kick sailed through.

And in the end, the game was won by just three points when Alabama kicker Joseph Bulovas missed from 30 yards out as time expired in the fourth quarter.

The school acknowledged all this with a funny message sent out on social media from Auburn Dean Joe Aistrup, who announced students will have one extra second to complete their final exams this year, thanks to that one extra second that gave the Tigers their win.

No doubt, this will be held onto and used as bulletin-board material next year when Alabama comes seeking its revenge.
