The Oakland A’s traded outfielder Cal Stevenson to the San Francisco Giants for cash considerations Wednesday.
The Athletics designated Stevenson, 26, for assignment last Friday.
Stevenson made his MLB debut last season and batted .167 (10-for-60) with one RBI in 23 games for Oakland.
He batted .348 with a .918 OPS, two RBIs and three steals in seven games this season at Triple-A Las Vegas.
The Giants optioned Stevenson to Triple-A Sacramento and designated left-hander Sam Long for assignment.
