Arizona State freshman forward Marcus Bagley said Tuesday that he will enter the NBA Draft.

Bagley said he won’t retain an agent at this time and will keep all his options open.

“As much as I would love to play college basketball for another year, I feel that I owe it to myself and my family to explore all of my options,” Bagley said in his announcement on Twitter. “With that being said, I have decided to take the next step and declare for the 2021 NBA Draft.”

He has familiarity with the NBA draft process due to being the younger brother of Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III, who was the second selection of the 2018 draft.

Marcus Bagley was limited to 12 games (11 starts) this season due to calf and ankle injuries and averaged 10.8 points and 6.2 rebounds. He shot just 38.7 percent, including 34.7 from 3-point range.

Bagley is projected as a second-round pick who could move up to the first round with strong pre-draft workouts. The draft is scheduled for July 29.

“I think I will be able show more of my offensive package and my ability to create off the dribble for myself and my teammates,” Bagley told ESPN. “Due to team needs and my size, I was asked to play more at the (power forward) position which limited what I could do but I look forward to showing teams that I am not just a shooter and I have a very versatile offensive package.”

Bagley is the second Sun Devils player to declare for the draft, joining freshman guard Josh Christopher.
