As she did in the Final Four game against UConn, Notre Dame’s Arike Ogunbowale hit a game-winning shot that propelled the Fighting Irish to a national championship over Mississippi State Sunday.
At halftime, it looked like Mississippi State would run away with the women’s national championship game against Notre Dame. By the end of the third quarter, the game was all tied up. The fourth quarter was a mad house, and with three seconds remaining the game remained tied at 58 points apiece.
At this point, Notre Dame got the ball back after a very questionable call.
Scratch that, Irish aren't in the bonus. But it's their ball with 3 seconds to go. McCowan has fouled out.

Watched almost nothing but just saw another example of horrendous WBB officiating. How was Notre Dame not called for the cross-body block?

Then, on the final possession of the game, Arike Ogunbowale won it for the Fighting Irish, nailing a three pointer at the buzzer.

Arike hits a buzzer-beater to win a national championship, jokes with Kobe Bryant and starts recruiting for Notre Dame in the immediate post-game aftermath. Love it.
