Angels’ Shohei Ohtani makes MLB history with win over Athletics

Shohei Ohtani

Shohei Ohtani moved his record to 2-0 on Sunday. He went seven innings, allowed no runs, one hit, walked one, and struck out 12 in the Los Angeles Angels 6-1 win over the Oakland Athletics. In doing so, Ohtani also did something not done in nearly 100 years.

In addition to his two wins, Ohtani has done some damage with the bat, hitting three home runs for the Angels. That’s three home runs and two wins in Ohtani’s the Halos’ first 10 games.

No player has done that since Jim Shaw pulled it off for the 1919 Washington Senators.

Ohtani’s MLB career is still in its infancy stages. But the two-way star is already making significant MLB history.
