Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is looking to make history on Sunday as one of a couple handful of individuals at his position to win multiple Super Bowls.
Reid and his Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII Sunday afternoon. It represents the Chiefs’ third appearance in the big game in four years.
Could it also represent the future Hall of Famer’s final game as a head coach in the NFL?
Fox Sports insider Jay Glazer spoke with Reid in the lead up to the game. During Sunday’s pre-game show from Arizona, Glazer seemingly broke some news on that front.
“I am not getting any younger. I will have a young quarterback. I have a decision I have to make after this game,” Reid told Glazer.
This is the first time we’ve heard anything about the 64-year-old Andy Reid potentially retiring from coaching. The fact that he didn’t completely shut down the possibility will be a major storyline as Super Bowl LVII gets going and following the big game in Arizona.

A future Hall of Famer, Reid is a mere four regular-season wins from passing the legendary Tom Landry for fourth on the all-time list among NFL head coaches.
With that said, he has a personal life to worry about. Reid has been married to his wife, Tammy, since back in 1981. The couple have four children who remain with us following the tragic passing of Garrett Reid from an overdose back in 2012. He’s going to take all of this into account when making a final decision.
Even then, it would be a surprise if Reid walked away from football at the height of his career. The last time we saw that was former San Francisco 49ers head coach Bill Walsh following Super Bowl XXIII in January of 1989.
