Late during Saturday’s game against Texas A&M, Alabama’s DeVonta Smith threw a punch at an Aggie and was disqualified for his action.
He had been thrown down to the ground and wasn’t happy with the treatment.
Afterward, he left the field of play minutes before the end of the game.
It really was a ridiculous penalty, as Alabama was up 47-28 at the time of the foul. Furthermore, Smith had been having a huge game.
The receiver had hauled in seven passes for 99 yards and the touchdown above before being ejected for throwing a punch.
